GRS Fantasy Park Mysore
Enjoying on a holiday is what everyone feels. There are holiday
destinations which are meant for kids, some for adults. However, there
are pretty few places which could go down as places where kids and
adults and the entire family could enjoy together. One of them is an
amusement park. The city of Mysore may have palaces, gardens and many
other places famous for shopping or known for their history, but there
is one place which would be loved by kids and adults alike. It is the
GRS Fantasy Park.
Located on a 15 minute drive from the city of Mysore and spread over 30 acres of lush green land is the GRS Fantasy Park established by Balinga Investments Private Limited. It is renowned as Mysore’s only amusement cum Water Park. Its breathtaking ambiance coupled with some great rides has truly made it a memorable experience for visitors for over the past 13 years. It is located 6 kilometers away from the Mysore City Center on the Mysore Ring Road off the KRS Main Road.
Jal Tharang or Wave Pool: spread over an area of 10,000 Square feet is the Wave Pool which is also known as Jal Tharang. Jal Tharang offers a virtual yet real life experience of being on a sea-shore with waves that hit you at regular intervals. The wave pool operates at regular intervals.
Pendulum Slide: A slide which is as high as 35 feet long and as wide as 135 feet is the pendulum slide. The slide gives the visitor an experience of forward and backward motion from as high as 35 feet in rapid succession giving the thrills to the visitors.
Dragon’s Den: This is a ride that has been introduced for the first time in India. The Dragon’s Den is a walk through a dark ride with added computer simulation effects covering over 60,000 square feet which takes you straight back to the Jurassic Age of super predators and fire breathing dragons, with all the ambiance of the pre-historic era. The popularity of this ride is evident from the fact that it has won the National APT Award in 2003, for the most innovative ride developed during that year in the country.
Red Indian Falls: The Red Indian Falls is a man made water fall based on the life and times of Red Indian tribes – the original settlers and inhabitants of North America. It showcases Red Indian villages complete with tepees (leather dwellings), totem poles and figures of Red Indian families and an 80 ft. waterfall with faces of Red Indian chieftains carved out of rock. This gigantic waterfall discharges water from a height of 80 feet and at 72000 liters per minute. The safety of the visitors is ensured through a two layer platform which is especially created for the same.
Amazonia: Amazonia is a ride which takes you on a swollen rapid river, through flooded forests under the dense canopy of the vast rain forest. The creation of one of the densest jungle on planet Earth can be easily classified as an ideal adventure ride for the visitors.
Lazy River: Like the name suggests, this ride is laziness personified for the visitors. You can experience weightlessness on this ride as this river moves along at a lazy pace all through the park. This is an ideal ride to relax, and have a laid back enjoyment of nature.
Kids Pool: The Kids Pool is one of the most beautiful locations on the park, with utmost attention paid to the safety of children. There are life guards present at every moment across the pool and only kids and their mothers are allowed into the pool. This may well turn out to be a memorable experience for the kids.
5D Virtual Ride: The 5D Virtual Ride is the first of its kind in the state of Karnataka. The 5D Virtual Ride boasts of hi-tech advanced features with 3D viewing technology and State-of-the-art special effects such as Aroma, Bubbles, Strobe Lighting, Water Effects, Air Blast, Neck Blast, Rattling and Leg Ticklers along with motion chairs having three degrees of movements. This ride comes with an additional charge of Rs. 30 per person.
Hawaiian Paradise: The water ride themed around the Hawaiian way of life is a unique attraction for people of all ages. This is an interactive ride for the brave hearted with features like giant tilting buckets, water cannons, water guns, water jets, water umbrellas, water curtains, pelting wheel, giant water slides and spouts spread on a vast 26,000 square feet.

Timings and Rates
The rates of tickets in the GRS Fantasy Park vary as per the timings. For admissions before 3:30 PM, the entry fees are priced at INR 450 for adults and INR 350 for children. The entry for infants below three years of age is absolutely free. For senior citizens, the entry fees are INR 200. For admission after 3:30 PM, the entry fee for adults is INR 300 and for children is INR 250. The 5D virtual ride comes at an additional charge of Rs. 30. Students are given special 10% discount on their entry with appropriate identity cards being displayed by them. The park is opened on all days of the week including Sundays and National Holidays. The park is opened from 10:30 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and Saturdays and from 10:30 AM to 7 PM on Sundays and National Holidays.Location of the Park:
